Glowing Skin That Radiates Health
Escape the daily grind in the soothing heat of our saunas, designed to melt away stress and promote relaxation. Heat exposure lowers cortisol levels, relaxes muscles, and encourages the release of endorphins—creating a natural sense of calm and mental clarity.
Sauna bathing gently elevates heart rate and widens blood vessels, promoting healthier circulation, improved cardiovascular conditioning, and long-term heart support. Think of it as a workout for your heart without the effort!
Whether you’re an athlete or just dealing with everyday aches in joints or muscles, our saunas deliver deep heat to soothe soreness, reduce joint pain, and accelerate post-workout recovery.
Sauna heat opens pores, promotes sweating, and enhances skin elasticity, giving you a radiant, youthful glow. Increased sweating helps unclog pores and improve skin hydration, while improved circulation delivers nutrients that promote a clear, healthy-looking complexion.

Immune
Keep your natural defenses strong
Heat stress mimics the effects of mild exercise, temporarily raising body temperature to support immune function and enhance resilience against illness.
Respiratory
Brain
Open your airways
Lift mental fog, sharpen your focus
Warm, dry air can help relax the respiratory muscles, improve lung function, and support easier breathing, making sauna sessions beneficial for overall respiratory wellness.
Regular sauna use is linked to improved brain health by increasing blood flow, stimulating the release of mood-boosting endorphins, and supporting long-term cognitive function.

Who we are
At Sauna Suites, we are driven by a vision to bring affordable, natural, and holistic healing to the heart of Martinsville, Indiana. During the height of the Covid Pandemic, our family relocated here with deep concerns for public health and a passionate desire to contribute to community well-being. Falling in love with small town charm, we embarked on a journey of soul-searching and discovered the remarkable, well-studied health benefits of heat therapy. This inspired us to reimagine traditional sauna bathing, transforming it into a private, modern, and luxurious experience designed to enhance mental health and overall wellness.
As a family-focused, community-rooted team, we blend unique strengths: one of us a veteran and engineer bringing resilience and ingenuity, the other a public health researcher infusing science and research into our mission. Together, we’ve created Sauna Suites to offer an accessible sanctuary where everyone can relax, heal, and feel renewed. Our hand-crafted, American made, Finnish-barrel saunas, private suites with showers, immersive entertainment, and optional aromatherapy reflect our commitment to elevating the sauna experience. Whether you seek stress relief, health benefits, or a quiet moment to recharge, we invite you to make this space your own—a place where wellness is within reach for all.

FAQ'S
What is a barrel sauna and how does it work?
A dry heat barrel sauna is a small, cylindrical structure designed to provide a therapeutic dry heat experience, typically between 150°F and 195°F (65°C to 90°C), using an electric heater with heated rocks. This environment promotes intense sweating and relaxation, with sessions lasting 10-20 minutes, to improve circulation, relieve stress, and support wellness. The high heat also triggers the production of heat shock proteins, which help protect cells from stress and aid in repair and recovery, enhancing the sauna's health benefit
Who should avoid using a sauna?
Saunas are generally safe for most healthy adults, but they may not be suitable for everyone. People who are pregnant, have low blood pressure, serious heart conditions like congestive heart failure, or other medical concerns should avoid sauna use unless cleared by their healthcare provider. If you’re unsure, it’s best to consult your doctor before beginning sauna therapy.
How long should I stay in a sauna?
Sessions typically last 10-20 minutes, depending on your comfort and experience level. Beginners should start with shorter sessions (5-10 minutes) and hydrate well.
What should I bring to a sauna session?
We provide one towel for sitting, as well as optional aromatherapy and audio/visual entertainment in your private suite. Please bring your own towel(s) to dry off and wear comfortable clothing—such as a swimsuit—for your session.
What’s the difference between a traditional sauna and an infrared sauna?
Traditional saunas heat the air to high temperatures (typically 160–200°F), which in turn warms your body and encourages deep sweating. Infrared saunas use infrared light to heat your body directly at lower temperatures (around 120–140°F). At Sauna Suites, we feature authentic Finnish-style barrel saunas, maintained at about 180°F, for a classic and revitalizing sauna experience.
How often can I use a sauna?
Most healthy adults can safely enjoy the sauna 3–4 times per week, and some even use it daily. Research from Finland suggests that regular sauna use—about 4–7 times per week—may support cardiovascular health, lower blood pressure, and improve overall well-being. Always listen to your body and stay hydrated.
Do I need to book a session in advance?
Booking is recommended to secure your preferred time, especially during peak hours. Walk-ins may be accommodated based on availability.
Is the sauna clean and hygienic?
Yes, we follow strict cleaning protocols, disinfecting surfaces after each use and maintaining proper ventilation. Customers are required to use towels and follow hygiene guidelines.
Can I use a sauna if I’ve never done it before?
Absolutely! Beginners are welcome. Our staff will guide you on proper use, safety tips, and how to maximize your experience.
Are there age restrictions for sauna use?
Typically, saunas are safe for adults. Minors (16+) may use saunas with parental consent but children under 16 are not permitted to use the saunas.
What should I do before and after a sauna session?
Before your session, hydrate well with water or an electrolyte drink and wear comfortable clothing, such as a swimsuit. After your session, cool down gradually, shower to rinse off sweat, and rest for a few minutes to let your body adjust. Rehydrating afterward is also important to replace fluids lost through sweating.
Can I use my phone or electronics in the sauna?
We don’t recommend bringing phones or other electronics into the sauna, as the heat and moisture can damage devices. For your convenience and peace of mind, we request you leave them outside the sauna and take the time to fully unplug and relax.
What if I feel dizzy or unwell during a session?
If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or unwell, exit the sauna immediately and sit down in a cool area. Hydrate with water, and let our staff know if you need assistance.
Can the sauna accommodate more than one person, and do you offer private group options?
Yes! Each sauna comfortably accommodates up to four people, making it easy to enjoy with a partner or small group of friends. Additional guests may join and a fee will be added for each guest. For larger gatherings—such as team wellness experiences or friend groups (including bachelor or bachelorette groups)—we also offer private event bookings for up to twelve guests.
